Glimpses: 5 Artists - 5 Views
October 3 - November 8, 2025
Mary Alice Braukman, internationally recognized and award winning artist, has invited four artist-friends to join her in the upcoming exhibit, Glimpses: 5 Artists - 5 Views.
This exhibit will include new work from each of the artists - Mary Alice, Kyle Lusk, Sue Byrne Russell, Jane Todd Butcher, and Manfred Rehm.
The exhibit will open in the Arts Council Gallery with an artist reception on Friday, October 3, 2025, 5-7pm (in conjunction with First Friday Gallery Walk). The public is invited to attend.

Toys and Joys
an exhibition of fine art and craft

The Arts Council is pleased to announce its annual holiday exhibition and sale, Toys and Joys.
Toys and Joys will open on Friday, November 14, and close on Saturday December 20. Delivery of artwork will be on Tuesday, November 11, 11am-4pm.
The exhibition is open to artists of all ages who wish to exhibit original artwork that depicts the theme of the exhibition. Artists may interpret the theme broadly to include both actual toys and images of toys, but also the joys associated with living in Western North Carolina - waterfalls, mountains, music, and more.
All forms of art including painting, drawing, photography, graphics, printmaking, digital art, sculpture, ceramics, wood, jewelry, fiber, glass and clay, among others, will be accepted.
