Join your pottery friends at the Arts Council for this one-day workshop with Nick Friedman, professional ceramics artist and owner of Duck Pond Pottery. Nick will demonstrate a variety of techniques as he preps pieces for pit-firing, including:
layering of slips, underglazes & terra sigliata
paper masking & wax resists
use of silkscreen transfers
Then, we will reconvene at Duck Pond Pottery for a live smoke firing where Nick will demonstrate pit-firing techniques, followed by a final result reveal!
