Rules, Regulations, and Conditions
Transylvania Community Arts Council (TC Arts) is a non-profit organization that celebrates and nurtures the creative spirit in Transylvania County. It produces, promotes, sponsors and develops arts-related programs and services, often in collaboration with community partners. The TC Arts gallery exists to promote visual arts and crafts, to provide quality experiences for members of the community and to create an environment that stimulates creativity.
ELIGIBILITY TO PARTICIPATE
The Faces and Places of Transylvania County exhibition is open to all artists who submit artwork in keeping with the exhibition’s title theme. However, artwork submitted cannot have been previously exhibited in the TC Arts gallery, and all artwork should have been completed within the last two years. Two-dimensional work may not exceed 60" in any dimension or 75 pounds in weight and must be professionally framed, with a wire hanger. SAW-TOOTH HANGERS WILL NOT BE PERMITTED. Three-dimensional work may not exceed 80" in any dimension or 200 pounds in weight and must sit on a flat surface. All work should be tagged on the back and identified with the title, artist's name, medium and purchase price.

SALE OF ARTWORK
All work must be for sale. A 40% commission is collected by TC Arts on all work sold while exhibited in the gallery. The artist receives 60% of the sales price. TC Arts, as the seller, will be responsible for collecting sales tax.

LIABILITY
TC Arts cannot insure work submitted. Insurance coverage is the responsibility of the artist. Every reasonable precaution will be taken in the care and handling of all artwork, but TC Arts will not be responsible for loss or damage.

HANGING/MOUNTING
TC Arts Gallery Committee reserves the right to limit or refuse work submitted because of space limitations; if any such work is deemed inappropriate or not in keeping with the exhibition’s theme; or if any two dimensional work is not equipped with a wire hanger (no sawtooth hangers). Artists are not permitted to hang their own work. Exceptions to this would include such exhibits as the Student Art Show and some invitational shows.
RIGHTS AND CONDITIONS
By entering an exhibit, the artist grants TC Arts permission to photograph, video tape, film, reproduce and publish any art for publicity and education purposes. Entry of art constitutes agreement with conditions described herein.
DELIVERY AND PICK-UP
Work submitted must be delivered and picked up on the date and during the hours stated on the application. Work not picked up within 30 days after the exhibit closes shall become the property of TC Arts without further notice to the artist.
I have read, fully understand and agree to work within and abide by the rules, regulations and conditions stated in the Gallery Guidelines for submission and exhibition of my work as described above.
