The Transylvania NAACP hosts a community art project known as “Put yourself on the line!”
They bring in a clothesline, fabric, markers, and easels and invite the community to create art on the chosen topic.
To date, the topics that have been featured are:
1. Health Care
2. The Arts Matter
3. Parks and Forests
The art will be displayed in the front yard at the TC Arts Council 349 S. Caldwell Street in downtown Brevard, NC on Friday October 27th.
In addition, individuals will be able to create their own piece of art on any of the topics.
You don’t have to be an artist. Many share their words and thoughts.
It is a wonderful way to get in touch with our communities thoughts and feelings on a variety of topics.
The clothesline project is available for events as well.
