Short Film “Power Out” Looking for Cast and Crew
Howard thinks the only way to connect is online. But what happens when the power goes out? Next Frame Media will be shooting this short film entitled “POWER OUT” on the weekend of October 13 and 14 in the Brevard area. They are seeking cast and crew positions. Tammy Hopkins, Film Liaison for the area said, “this is a great chance for our young people to work and learn with up and coming filmmakers and add to their resumes.”
The writer/director Evan Schmidt said, “this is a short film that juxtaposes social media and nature against a theme of human interaction. We will be casting for two main actors in their 20’s.
Howard is in his 20’s, slight build and awkward. The girl is in her 20’s, attractive and likable. Teen and adult featured actors will be used as well. This is an unpaid production but food, screen credit, IMDB credit, and good vibes will be provided.” Other roles include: teens on social media, adults on social media, and homeless man.
Auditions will be held at the TC Arts Council on Monday, October 1 from 4:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. To sign up for an audition timeslot call the TC Arts Council at 828-884-2787.
